FAQ
What time can I arrive on Sunday?
Check in with Crowne Plaza Coogee is available from 2pm on Sunday. While the Spirit Australia Seminar does not include an evening meal on Sunday, many people will be arriving and we will meet informally on Sunday evening in a function room. This year's seminar includes Sunday night accomodation, and the first formal classes for the Spirit Australia Seminar start on Monday morning.
My partner would like to holiday with me, but not do the actual Seminar. Can they stay in my room?
Yes, if you book a room for single occupancy, your partner is welcome to stay. Please note that they will NOT have breakfast supplied, but this can easily be arranged and paid for directly with Crowne Plaza Coogee. The same applies to the other meals and breaks that Seminar participants have already paid for (lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon tea). Please advise us of this on your Registration Form, or contact us directly if you want to make these arrangements after you have registered.
I would like to stay an extra night on Friday and travel back on the Saturday. Do I book this direct with the hotel?
Please let us know and we will coordinate this with Crowne Plaza Coogee. It is important we know you if are staying extra nights, or even if you are arriving several days earlier, as this can affect the room allocation arrangements organised by the hotel.
I have a friend who lives nearby, so I would like the Non-Accom option. What does this include?
The Non-Accomodation seminar registration option includes all tuition, classes, workshops and activities from 930am to 9pm, plus meals during this time: Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner. It does not include a room for your overnight stay, or breakfast. Given the length of our days and evenings, we encourage all participants to stay onsite and immerse themselves in the energy of the five days. In our experience, a visit with a friend or family member is probably best scheduled for either side of the seminar when you will have more time to share with them.
The daily schedule from 930am to 9pm seems very intensive. Do I have to attend every session?
Please let your Small Group tutor or any other of the Spirit Australia Seminar organisers know if you plan to not attend any particular session. We take our duty of care responsibility very seriously! If you choose to take some time away from the scheduled program, then we must be aware of this, as we will definitely come find you if we don't hear from you. Yes, it is an intensive experience to be immersed in spirit energy for five days. If you want to develop and strengthen your connection to spirit, then this annual seminar is a great place to be. And please remember we are surrounded by profound love, and beautiful healing energy... And frequently a lot of loud joyful laughter, too!
I am unsure whether I am ready for this level of seminar, especially for five days. Can you help me decide?
Yes, if you are here reading about this seminar, then you are probably ready to attend! But we absolutely understand that you may have questions, and that you may be unsure if this level is right for you. A great first step would be to send a longer email to Dianne Parker describing your experiences, interests, any previous courses or learning you have taken, and anything else that may be relevant. Once we have received this email we will contact you for a phone chat, or we can reply by email, whatever suits you. Let us know. We are here to gently guide and honour your own development at a pace and time that's right for you. Here's a link to help decide if you feel ready...
